How To Be A Guest At Your Own House Party

April 10, 2019

If you are throwing a party at home, chances are you’ve got a lot of party planning to do.

Planning and executing a party are two different and very overwhelming tasks. Most party planners are left micromanaging every aspect of the party and hardly ever have time to enjoy it themselves. We’ve got the top five tips to allow party and event throwers to be able to be a guest at their own party.

1. Pick One to Two Drinks

Most party planners are often left understocked in the drink department due to the mistake they make of providing too many drink options for their guests. Party planners provide too many drinks and are left with an excess amount of one drink while being understocked with another. You want to make sure you limit their drink choices to two drinks. This ensures that guests are either sipping on one drink or the other, and you know exactly which drinks you want to be fully stocked.

2. Set Up A Portable Trash Can

As opposed to regular, bulky trash bins, a portable trash can is more effective for parties. Most party throwers are left cleaning up after guests, making sure there are no spills or dirty dishes lying around. Ordinary trash bins are often disregarded by guests and not the most aesthetically pleasing to feature in a party. This is due to their lingering smell and how dirty they often are.

A lightweight, portable trash bag holder with an open frame allows you to conveniently place several of them throughout the party and not be embarrassed by any lingering odors.

More trash bag holders allow guests to be more prone to place their garbage in the right place as opposed to you having to clean up after others.

3. Set Up Food And Drink Bar

Walking throughout the room with food for guests just makes your job harder. Set up a food bar where guests are able to help themselves to food and drinks. You want to provide a variety of food options so everyone has something to eat. Make sure your food and drink bar is fully stocked with everything your guests need in order to help themselves to food. You want to make sure there are plenty of napkins, utensils, cups, plates, and ladles for food and drinks.
